I’m getting the picture then that much of your users’ tasks are about the creation and maintenance of ‘subject guides’ in various forms. Now I understand a bit more clearly why some of your users have stated a preference for LibGuides which is more directly focused on that specific kind of content.
Given what I know of Drupal, I’m imagining that the creation of such guides might be a grueling and stressful exercise for many users. I’m not trying to be negative (I am a great fan of Drupal!) – it’s just that Drupal’s terrific flexibility does have a price when it comes to usability. That’s the problem we’re trying to solve.
I’d love to hear more stories about the experiences of people who create subject guides if anyone has any.
Are subject librarians stressed by Drupal?
