Sirsi Unicorn API?

Hi. Has anyone done any work with the API for SirsiDynix? I would like to be able to access our patron info in order to validate registered users by library card# and allow for easy connections between items in our Website and the records in the catalog.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Thanks!

I had posted a similar question on another Drupal listserv awhile back and I think you had responded.

My questions are really fundamental, like how does one get the API (is it in our servers somewhere already) and what permissions do I need from the company, etc.

Thanks again.

This is worth checking out

I was pointed to this code by John @ Waubonsee, who is working on it.

His words: "Using this class a programmer will be able to communicate with a library's integrated library system (ILS) via 3M's SIP2 (Standard Interchange Protocol)."

I have not played with it, but I intend to.
