Very nice use of Drupal for digital collection

Ian, very nice. Very clean and functional... except, I'm using Firefox on Windows and I can't place my cursor in the search box. Works on IE. I won't be able to test on my Mac until tonight.

I'd be interested to hear why you decided to not provide an advanced search. I don't disagree with the decision, I'm just curious if you expect any negative feedback from non-librarian users.

Thank you!

I really appreciate your feedback... and for saving us from an embarrassing oversight! I've fixed the search box issue (it's layer was behind the main content div).

Advanced search was not implemented because wanted to get the other aspects of the site ready in time for Fall 2009. We especially wanted to focus on the "exhibit" aspects and to ensure sufficient content was loaded into the system. The size of the collection and the focus on the three themes (on the home page) meant that an advanced search feature was not critical to have prior to launch. However, as the collection grows, and time permitting, I think offering advanced search is definitely a good thing.

Thanks again for reviewing the site! I'm glad to hear that you liked it.
