Traverse Area District Library Goes Drupal

Description

We've been collectively working on this site for nearly six months and decided it was time to make the switch. At roughly 6 PM on Friday, September 25th, we quietly moved our old site to http://old.tadl.org/ and pointed http://www.tadl.org/ at this one.

There is still much to do--and if we do it right, there will always be much to do, as a website like this one is never finished.

In the coming weeks and months, you can expect to see new sections of the site unveiled (teens' and kids' sections,) many more pages added, more staff reviews, photos, events and more.

Modules used

Modules used: Abuse, Add Another, Add to Any, Admin Role, Announcements, Apture, Browscap, Calendar, Captcha, CCK, Contemplate, Date, ReadMore, Extlink, EZProxy, FCKEditor, Global Redirect, GMapEZ, ILS Authentication, Image, Image Cycle, Image FUpload, Image Resize Filter, IMCE, Image Assist, Job Queue, jquery UI/Update, Lightbox2, Linkchecker, Login Destination, Mobile Redirect, Nice Menus, Paging, Path Auto, Path Redirect, Piwik, Print, Quick Menu, Search404, Site Map, swf tools, Taxonomy Redirect, Themekey, Token, Views, Webform.

We're currently working on improvements to the ILS Authentication module to more fully support our particular installation of Evergreen (Patrons with multiple library cards, including DL#/State IDs)

We're also finishing up our New Items module, which pulls feeds of new items directly from Evergreen, for use in the Flash header on the main page (soon to be jquery-based, rather than flash) on the branch/member library pages and on the audio-visual pages.

I've hidden some of the menu items under the AV section relating to new items, as that module isn't quite finished yet.
