4.7.x???

This was posted to drupalib on 10/6... has anyone gotten it to work on the required drupal version listed? If anyone has, or if someone has an alternative module, I'd certainly like to know about it! This was posted on drupal.org by the author of the original module:

LibDB is no longer being maintained, and it most assuredly won't work with the latest Drupal core. Even if you downgraded to a working version of Drupal core, there's nothing to shout about - it was entirely unfinished.

Status?

Does anyone know the status of this module, or a general direction on what needs to be done to get it to work on 5.0? I'm interested in working on it for a project.
