Prototype Digital Library CMS

I'm working on a prototype DLCMS based on Drupal. The site contains a small number of documents, an overview, rationale, discussion of modules and PHP page snippets, and also information on how I am using CCK to manage metadata. The DLCMS also includes an advanced search module for CCK that I'm developing.

I'd love to hear people's comments, since I'd like to take this idea further. After I demoed this at the Access 2006 Conference (see my blog entry on Access) several people approached me to ask for more information, and offered useful feedback.

Comments

nice.

Very cool Mark,

We need a libcamp. Get together, babble out some ideas. I've got a copy of 5.0 set up on a server somewhere... would love to do some playtesting with you.

Thanks Dave

What do you have in mind? I'd be interested in hearing about any similar activity you're doing.

Updates

I've made some changes to the DLCMS and also added a blog where I'll post updates.
